Hiawatha Trail

The Hiawatha Trail starts at SARA Park in Tomahawk and follows the path of the former Milwaukee Road railroad north for 6.6 miles to the border of Lincoln and Oneida County, where it continues north to Minocqua as the Bearskin State Trail. The entire trail spans 21.5 miles from Tomahawk to Minocqua and features a mix of crushed granite and some on-road routes. It’s a popular destination for walkers, hikers, and bikers in the spring, summer, and fall and serves as a snowmobile trail in the winter.
