Trails
The Northwoods is known for its stunning scenic trails, and in Oneida County, trail users will find several options to accommodate those with mobility issues. The Peninsula Trail at Nicolet College in Rhinelander is a short, ADA-accessible trail that leads to nice views of Lake Julia. The Bearskin State Trail—one of northern Wisconsin’s most popular trails—is a level, compacted-granite trail that follows a former railroad line, and the trailhead in downtown Minocqua features handicapped parking. The Three Eagle Trail, which connects Three Lakes in northeastern Oneida County to Eagle River in the southeastern part of neighboring Vilas County, is wheelchair accessible with mostly level terrain. 

Attractions
Many of Oneida County’s top attractions also provide an accessible experience for all visitors. The Hodag Dome in Rhinelander offers more than 128,000 square feet of athletic space that’s open to community members and visitors, including tennis and pickleball courts, a community walking area, golf simulators, and more. Campanile Center for the Arts, located in downtown Minocqua, offers an intimate setting for live concerts, theater productions, art exhibitions, and community events throughout the year.  The Campanile has wheelchair seating in the auditorium, accessible restrooms, and assistive listening devices available upon request.
