The Thirsty Whale, Minocqua
This Northwoods institution, scenically situated on the shores of Lake Minocqua, offers incredible family dining in the heart of Minocqua. In addition to mouth-watering burgers, (which include a Mushroom Swiss Burger and a Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger), the Thirsty Whale has a full menu of sandwiches, salads, and pub favorites like nachos and wings.
Big Daddy’s, Rhinelander
Head to downtown Rhinelander to find this local favorite—the full name is “Big Daddy’s Burger Happiness Emporium, Air-Conditioned Cocktail Lounge and Pizzeria”—and enjoy a wide selection of gourmet burgers like the Cheese Curd Bacon Burger and the Elvis Presley (a burger topped with peanut butter, jelly, bacon, American cheese, and banana).
Claytons 1881 Room, Three Lakes
This popular restaurant on the edge of downtown Three Lakes boasts an ever-changing menu that features a tasty mix of burgers, sandwiches, pasta, steak, and seafood. Clayton’s is also known for its delicious craft cocktails and homemade desserts.
Shoreline Inn Bar, Woodruff
Situated on the eastern edge of Tomahawk Lake, the Shoreline Inn Bar is located at the Indian Shores RV Resort & Campground and offers great food and drinks with a beautiful backdrop of Northwoods scenery.
