There are a lot of exciting events on tap in Oneida County’s friendly communities every winter, from Christmas parades to snowmobile events and more.

Hit the trails

Strap on your skis or snowshoes and hit the trails in Oneida County! Our corner of the Northwoods of Wisconsin is filled with wonderful opportunities for winter recreation. Head to Minocqua Winter Park to find more than 50 miles of cross-country ski trails (groomed for classic and skate skiing) and 15 miles of snowshoe trails. The northern section of the Three Eagle Trail (which connects Three Lakes and Eagle River) is groomed for cross-country skiing in the winter. Timms Hill west of Tomahawk is the highest natural point in Wisconsin and offers groomed trails for classic and skate skiing on the Timms Hill National Trail. There’s even downhill skiing and snowboarding available at Camp 10 Ski Area near Rhinelander.
