Three Lakes Mercantile is a throwback to the general stores of old, selling everything from Northwoods gifts to home decor to clothing (including Minnetonka moccasins). Head to Minocqua’s Gaslight Square Shoppes to find A La Carte, which has welcomed Oneida County shoppers since 2002. The store is home to everything from bedding to rugs to aromatherapy items to gift baskets.
Rhinelander, located in the heart of Oneida County, is home to the Hodag, a mysterious, mischievous creature that’s been famous in the Northwoods for more than a century. These days, you can visit The Hodag Store in person or online to find Hodag-branded hats, T-shirts, bobbleheads, golf balls, street signs and pretty much anything else you can imagine.
