In late winter, when many people are hanging up their winter outdoor gear, intrepid trail enthusiasts in northern Wisconsin are thinking about one simple question: snowshoes or hiking boots?

Late winter can bring some of the best snowshoeing weather of the year to Oneida County. And, hiking can be done in almost any weather in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. So, if you pack snowshoes and hiking boots, you’ll pretty much be able to trek any trail in Oneida County.

Here are three of Oneida County’s best multi-use trails, regardless what kind of footwear you choose:
